Marat Khusnullin, who holds the post of deputy mayor of Moscow for urban planning policy, said that the metropolitan government is currently considering the issue of creating a new branch of the Moscow metro, which should appear in the southwest of the city. Marat said this last Saturday, October 15.
According to the Russian News Service, the deputy mayor of Khusnullin also noted that the capital’s authorities consider it very necessary to introduce this new separate line of the Moscow Metro.
According to the official, the new metro line, the final decision on the construction of which will be announced by December 2011, will be laid underground to the Moscow Ring Road, after which it will come to the surface.
The Moscow Mayoria also considers the extension of the existing branches to the village of Kommunarka, which is located in the Moscow region.
It is also worth noting that in addition to the relevant topics with the “transport subway”, the city government intends to consider in its discussions the construction of a denouement, which may arise at the intersection of Profsoyuznaya Streets, the Teply Station and Novushenevsky Prospekt, in other words near the Teply Stan metro station.
