Alanya has many budget hotels and the warmest sea. The beaches are sandy and pebble.
Antalya is the most popular resort near the international airport. I have repeatedly heard opinions that there are the most luxurious hotels on the coast. About 2 million people live in the city and there is a lot of entertainment: water parks, an aquarium, a zoo, bars, clubs, a large archaeological museum. In the surrounding area there are sandy and pebble beaches, pine forests and waterfalls.
Bodrum is the westernmost resort, where the proximity of Greece is strongly felt. From there it is only 27 km by water to the island of Kos. Bodrum has blue and white architecture, many bays and a clear sea. Attractions include the ruins of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus and St. Peter’s Castle.
Kemer is surrounded by mountains on one side and beaches on the other. Thanks to the mountains and pine forests, it is less hot here in summer than in other resorts. This place is suitable for both a relaxing holiday and fun, because there are many discos in the city.
Marmaris is called Turkish Ibiza: there is a whole street of bars there. The most beautiful water is also near it: the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean. The beaches are pebble and sand-pebble.
Side is considered one of the most expensive resorts with gently sloping sandy beaches and a wealth of historical – ancient and early Christian – attractions.
