In April of this year, the number of transactions with new buildings in St. Petersburg decreased by 30% compared to March. However, in the secondary market, this indicator grew by 15%.
According to experts, the reason for the fall of supply and demand in the primary market was the fact that the Eland residential complex in Devyatkino was not launched. At the same time, the volume of the “secondary” proposal increased by 3%. Moreover, to the conclusion of transactions in April sellers, a predictable decrease in activity in the May holidays prompted.
In the primary real estate market in St. Petersburg, prices for a month rose 0.3%. In the shared construction industry, the cost of a square meter was an average of 73.8 thousand rubles. In the secondary market, the price of a square meter rose by 0.6% and amounted to 83 thousand rubles.
Earlier it was said that in the first quarter of this year in St. Petersburg about 371.1 thousand square meters of housing was commissioned, which is 4.3% less than the same period last year.
