The nymph of the cultural center in Bucharest is a conceptual proposal developed by Brasov-Based Upgrade Studio, architectural practice is focused on computational design and advanced concepts. Their city By-Pass project received a special mention at the SCISCRAPER EVOLO competition in 2008. The proposal was planned as a software addition to the digital project of the University Studio.
It includes art galleries, a cultural center, the Center for performing arts and the University of Library. Two morphology, it seems, deliberately contradict, express opposite approaches. Vein system of rainwater collection is stored in the ground. Using the principle of the heat pump for cooling and heating the water of the building does not require air conditioning. A wide network of common thin tubes covers the outer shell and provides effective heat transfer with the environment.
